The most luxurious hotel on Príncipe. A five star getaway on a deserted tropical beach with lux tented rooms dotted throughout a forest of palms and trees. Secluded. Relaxing. Very special. The food is fabulous using locally sourced produce - fresh fish, jackfruit, mango, pineapple, coconut. The emphasis is on sustainability and ecology. No plastic. No waste. The worthy goal is to preserve the environment and support the community. A great adventure and a stunning alternative to the Caribbean.

This has to be one of the best hotels (resorts? lodges?) in the world; service, location, lodgings, beach, wellness (massages, mostly), activities, everything I can think of was on a scale between unbelievable brilliant and inconceivable fabulous. The food, based in local products and even local gastronomy, was divine.

The people at the hotel are really there for you, conscious about guests needs and how to make them feel welcome every moment, while giving them their privacy and space. The people at the hotel are really there for you, conscious about guests needs and how to make them feel welcome every moment, while giving them their privacy and space. I felt I was surrounded by ”professional people” -people, warm hearted and definitely best in their field on this globe. You can get a lucury experience in a lot of places but a hotel investing so much to people who make it an unique and natural space to stay is really rare. The hotel rooms are stunning, spacious lux tents, nicely decorated with beautiful wood items and leather, so much light. You get your own terrace where you snack those organic fruits from local communities, while a blue paradise bird sings it’s songs for you. Sundy Praia works with the local community and creates work opportunities for people of the island, in fact most of the people working there are from the island, which adds another warm layer to the whole experience. Restaurant is world class, fusion with local traditional dishes and relaxed fine dining, none of that molecule stuff but honest beautiful dishes and coctails. If you’re looking for a private escape to most besutiful island with only handful of tourists, and a lot of space to explore the beaches and jungle and are willing to invest a bit, I would choose this one.
