Visionary. Storyteller. Humanitarian. Bill Bensley is more than an architect and designer. He is a force of nature in the worlds of art, conservation and philanthropy. Known for crafting some of the world’s most breathtaking hotels, resorts and landscapes, Bensley’s work is defined by bold creativity, deep cultural appreciation and a relentless drive to make the world a better place.
Bill Bensley only began painting a few years ago, during the pandemic, when the world came to a standstill and travel paused. Inspired and mentored by his close friend and artist Kate Spencer, he soon developed a deep passion for painting and now finds inspiration for his creations everywhere, sketching and painting whenever he can.
Bensley is a fierce advocate for conservation, education and responsible tourism. Through his Shinta Mani Foundation, he has transformed the lives of thousands in Cambodia, building homes, providing clean water and funding hospitality training for underprivileged youth.
Bill Bensley is now using art as a force for good. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the exhibition will directly support conservation and community initiatives across Southeast Asia through the Shinta Mani Foundation. Your contribution will help provide education, healthcare, housing and environmental protection, making a real difference in people’s lives and the natural world.
Last year, the Authentic Luxury team had the incredible opportunity to visit Bill Bensley in Cambodia, where we were deeply honored to visit the Shinta Mani Hospitality School in Siem Reap and meet with students there. We also witnessed firsthand the transformative work of the Shinta Mani Foundation in local villages, where they are building homes for underprivileged families, providing access to clean water through well construction, improving sanitation with toilet facilities and supporting young mothers with essential baby formula. Additionally, we had the unforgettable experience of visiting the Shinta Mani Wild, A Bensley Collection property in the heart of the Cardamom Rainforest, where we joined an anti-poaching patrol dedicated to combating illegal logging and wildlife poaching.
