A resort where conservation and hospitality work together. Bill Bensley, the architect and the owner, first bought the land with his friend Sokoun Chandpreda, hoping to save it from poaching and logging. Resort is providing long-term employment opportunities to the inhabitants of this region and many of the staff are converted ex-poachers. A key part of the protection of the forest is a partnership with Wildlife Alliance, whose daily patrols are funded by guest's stays at the resort.

Join the Anti-Poaching Patrol

Daily, Shinta Mani Wild rangers seize far too many snares, which can kill nearly any animal, including young elephants. Sometimes WA rescues live animals from the many snares; other times they must tally the count of dead wildlife. They travel in groups of 2-8 and are armed, as they run loggers out of their makeshift camps, confiscate homemade guns, chainsaws, and the like. You can join the rangers on motorbike for 2-6 hours depending on your stamina, and prepare for an eye opening experience.

Ziplining into a Cocktail Bar

Climb Eastern Tower’s 102 steps, don the zip line equipment, and clip into a double cable for extra safety, and after the safety briefing, fly… at upwards of 50 kmph for 400 meters, over the Butterfly tent and the first crossing of Tmor Rung River to land at the West Tower. Fly in the face of Raging Big Sister Falls, before landing at the Landing Zone Bar where you'll be handed a gin and tonic.

Don’t let the restaurant confine you, all of WILD is your picnic and a team of adventure butlers are ready to whip up a gourmet feast in the many of our dramatic alcoves. These are just some of many adventures that you can experience at amazing Shinta Mani Wild.

Tailgate Sundowners

Golden hour cocktails on a big flat stone in the middle of the river are an unforgettable experience. But knowing that the Martinis and massages and merriment all exist to help save the forest... that is priceless.

Camera Trapping

Join the camp's resident naturalist on a walk to check camera traps and gibbon stations as they collect data on the densities of certain species that call WILD home. Endangered species such as the Pillated Gibbon, Dhole (Asiatic wild dog), and even new species of orchids were found here. This place is a good hot spot for conservation.

Foraging

Discover and taste Cambodia’s natural larder in the company of our WILD foragers, all of whom are reformed poachers and loggers and accustomed to living off the rain forest when camping out in the jungle as part of their past professions. They will guide you through the forest on a daily forage explaining and tasting ingredients and some unexpected flavors. Chef will be grateful for the help in filling his basket of goodies for the Wild local 25km radius tasting dinner.

Ranger Station

Shinta Mani Wild has built an on-site ranger station for Wildlife Alliance at the end of the track, at the highest camp in the valley. You are more than welcome to visit! Wild also pays for all of the rangers expenses and equipment. As you will learn, the battle, and it is a battle, to keep the Cardamoms from becoming just another empty forest is never ending and at times disheartening.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

There is a minimum stay of 3 nights for regular and high seasons, and 4 night minimum stay for peak season
Rates for Wild Tents and Waterfall Tents are per tent per night for up to two persons sharing
Rate for the Two Bedroom Tent is per tent per night for up to four persons sharing
For safety reasons and the unique nature of the resort, Shinta Mani Wild is unable to accommodate children under the age of 10
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian in the same tent for their stay
This promotion is subject to availability and black-out dates may apply
The hotel reserves the right to cancel the promotion at any time without prior notice

PAYMENT POLICY

1-night advanced payment is required until 30 days before arrival
1-night deposit is required within 7 days of making the booking
The balance of accommodation is to be received at least 14 days before arrival

CANCELATION POLICY

Reservations cancelled outside 30 days of arrival date will be refunded, less credit card, bank or transfer fees
If cancelled within 30 days prior to check-in date, 1 night will be charged
No Show: 100 % of total amount will be charged
