Playa Viva

Playa Viva is exceptional. The place itself is amazingly beautiful and laid back. The food is off the charts delicious. And the staff are second to none. We were a family of 5 with 3 small kids. It's was the best disconnected/reconnecting family vacation we could have imagined. The only thing I'd note is that the currents at the beach are strong. So keep it in the shallows. This comes from someone with lots of water/beach/surfing experience. But other than that, this place really is unique. ... Playa Viva is exceptional. We loved this place. We stayed in the treehouse and it has been one of the best experiences we had. You are very close to nature, you sleep and feel the breeze of the sea and hear the crickets. If you are afraid to bugs is not the place for you. We were not bitten by anything and we only saw few mosquitos in the room but the beds are covered with a net, they provide lighters so you can see the path to the bathroom at night. Yoga classes were great with a special designed platform for yoga in fro... We loved this place. We stayed in the treehouse and it has been one of the best experiences we had. He prepares two or 3 dishes for every meal and most of the ingredients are organic and produced in the hotel. We can't wait to go back!

Playa Viva is a very, very special place. When you first arrive, the beauty of the remote surroundings including the beach and the vegetation is very obvious. And as time passes you see how the hospitable staff really goes out of their way to accommodate and make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. In addition, Playa Viva and the people involved care so much about the local communities and nature like the local turtles. It is nice to be staying somewhere where others in need are ben... It is nice to be staying somewhere where others in need are benefiting from tourism. Furthermore, the food is delicious and healthy and plentiful. My friend and I stayed in the Treehouse which was so cool and special. One can hear the waves crash at all hours. Spectacular sunsets.
