Laura and I had the absolute privilege of being guests of Saruni Mara in February 2019. How does one give a ‘score’ of 15 out of 10 because we would if we could. From Cecila’s smile and wicked wit via every member of the camp staff to our guide, Dixon, we have never encountered more welcoming, more happy, smilimg people anywhere in the world we have traveled. We honestly cannot say enough good things about Saruni Mara. We’re currently in Zanzibar and the pull to return to Saruni is overwhelming....

My family and I spent 4 nights at Saruni Mara. Absolutely everything was outstanding. The location was approximately 30 minutes away from the bush but this was not a bad thing. Zebra, buffalo and impala amongst other animals wandered freely around the lodges and many were spotted on the way to the Bush. The camp was spotless and every last detail was catered for. Your safety was their priority and a member of staff was always at hand to walk with you at night from the main building to your cot... Your safety was their priority and a member of staff was always at hand to walk with you at night from the main building to your cottage. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion was available. Hot water bottles were placed in the bed at night with a jar of cookies at your bedside. Dressing gowns, a torch and mosquito repellent are available and there's a free laundry service. The staff do not wash ladies underwear but there is washing powder provided in the bathroom to wash your smalls. Don't over pack. Leave clothes at home and bring a good camera. We've learnt from this. The food is fantastic. Mainly Italian cuisine. Snacks are available if you are hungry between meals. The game drives are just superb. So many experiences. Kisemei, our driver was amazing. His knowledge of the bush was incredibly. He was extremely polite, helpful and respectful. He ensured we had the best experience ever. He provided blankets on the chilly evening drive and even called the lodge to have drinks made up for us on our return. All of the staff at Saruni Mara are amazing. We felt as though they were family after our stay and we will never forget them. Thank you for everything. You've made our dteams come true xxx
